“1950” is our classic oil, made from more mature olives harvested from the beginning of November. The advanced ripening of the olives results in a balanced oil with a medium-light bitterness and spiciness. It is versatile in the kitchen, suitable for various uses, from cooking, including frying, to dressings.
In 1950, along with the mill, the first Gaudenzi oil was produced and remained the only oil made by Vittorio & co. for decades.
With the introduction of other lines over the years, there was a need to give its own identity to this oil that had been simply called Gaudenzi oil for years.
Thus, the name 1950 was born, an oil made according to the traditional standards of our area: a blend of olives harvested strictly after November 2nd.
